How can you expect people to work as hard as you if you’ve already made a personal commitment to outwork everybody??
That’s contradictory.
Stop worrying about others and worry about your own effort. Work ethic is one of the only things you can control in your world and in your life. If you find yourself complaining about how your teammates, coworkers, friends, family members, whoever it may be, aren’t performing up to your standards - take some time to recognize that:
1) You’re doing your job! You’re supposed to be working harder than everyone else. Recognize it as an opportunity to be a better leader and help others around you for the greater purpose.
and
2) There’s always room for improvement in your own life - so don’t judge others because you can always go harder and get better.
And if you’re not feeling that way, that probably means others are working harder than you in your immediate circle so you need to take personal responsibility to change that.
